VISION

In keeping with the ISET program, the Ebb and Flow First Nation Employment and Training program ensures that all learners can access programs and services.

ABOUT US

The Employment and Training program provides financial support to eligible members of Ebb and Flow First Nation towards the cost of post-secondary and training education and skills development.  This criteria to be met by applicants in order to qualify for financial assistance, the types and maximum levels of allowances and incentives available and the maximum duration of funding that is available for the different levels of post-secondary education and skill training.

Our office is dedicated to fostering independence, self-reliance, through personal and community development among all Ebb and Flow First Nation Band Membership so that they may succeed in today’s labor force and trending economic development.

Mission Statement

The Ebb and Flow First Nation Employment and Training Program are committed to providing Ebb and Flow First Nation Band Membership the opportunity to obtain skills required for the labor force.  Each person will be provided the opportunity to apply to this program in fairness and equality so that they may be given the opportunity to obtain skills and training for long term sustainable employment.  The Employment and Training Director and staff will strive to ensure each individual shall be provided the opportunity to develop to her or his highest potential.  Therefore, staff shall strive to develop students’ knowledge in skills, habits, understandings, attitudes and character traits that are essential for the sound choice of and participation in a vocation.

Employment and Training therefore encourage continuing communication and cooperation with prospecting students, parents, families, and community agencies in the pursuit of these objectives.

Programs / Services

The Ebb and Flow First Nation Employment and Training program assists with skills development, training for high-demand jobs, job finding, programs for youth, programs for urban and indigenous people with disabilities and access to child care.
